St Stephen's is the principal Catholic church of Karlsruhe, built between 1808 and 1814 by Friedrich Weinbrenner as a grand neoclassical rotunda modeled on the Pantheon in Rome. Heavily damaged during the war, it was rebuilt in a simplified form.
